Tom is the firm’s most senior attorney and serves as the day-to-day business manager.  With over 50 years of legal and business experience, including a short stint running his own small business, Tom knows the law and appreciates the challenges of business.  Tom focuses his practice on representing banks and borrowers in financial transactions, real estate transactions and business organizations.  

Tom is a managing member of GHN and is one of its civil litigation attorneys.  He has more than 30 years of litigation experience, including disputes involving construction defects, premises liability, automobile liability, insurance coverage, and municipal liability. 

Fred is an associate attorney with GHN. His practice has been devoted to civil litigation, both with GHN and a prior firm in Wausau Wisconsin. He serves the firm’s insurance clients, focusing on both the defense of claims and coverage issues. His appellate experience includes a position as a law clerk for District III of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.

Erin is a member of GHN.  Erin’s practice focuses on children’s issues. Erin specializes in cases related to adoption, foster care, guardianships, surrogacy issues, and termination of parental rights.  She also ensures that every family is protected by way of estate planning and wills, powers of attorney and related documentation.

Erin is also a business attorney and a member of the GHN Business Law Team.

Lance is one of GHN’s founding members and currently maintains an “Of Counsel” status.  Lance devoted 100% of his career to civil litigation, primarily representing insurance clients in their defense and coverage litigation.  Lance volunteered his time on committees of the State Bar of Wisconsin, including the Office of Lawyer Regulation.  He has received the Wisconsin Leaders in the Law Award and has been designated a "Super Lawyer" for many years.

Molly is a member of GHN. She has dedicated her career to serving children and families throughout Wisconsin.  She specializes in adoption law, surrogacy, guardianship/third-party visitation, termination of parental rights and custody disputes.  She serves as a leader and educator in Waukesha County with regards to various issues surrounding children and the wellbeing of children and families.

Todd Jex is a member of GHN.  Over his 25 year career, Todd has focused his practice on civil litigation (insurance defense and coverage) and construction law.  As a construction law attorney, Todd advises on defects, liens, contracts and payment matters.  Todd also advises clients on litigation avoidance and represents clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Todd is also a business and real estate attorney and is a member of the GHN Business / Real Estate Law Team.

Dan is a managing member of GHN and is one of its civil litigation attorneys. He has focused his 20+ years of practice in the areas of insurance law, principally insurance defense matters involving automobile liability, and commercial litigation. 

Heidi is an associate attorney with GHN. She is one of the firm’s civil litigation attorneys representing insurance clients in matters of insurance defense, construction defects and civil appeals. Her 20+ years of experience is highlighted by her appellate work, involving legal issue strategies and briefing.

Wendy is a paralegal supporting the Children’s Law Team. She began her forty+ year career as a paralegal with one of GHN’s founders, Stephen Hayes, assisting him initially in adoptions and expanding the practice into surrogacies, multi state adoptions and related proceedings. Her knowledge in these areas is expansive as she has been involved in over 4,500 adoptions. She also is very active as a volunteer with numerous adoption related agencies and organizations.

Sue is a paralegal supporting the Children’s Law Team and the Litigation Team.  Sue has experience in many legal disciplines and has supported GHN attorneys in all practice areas. Recently, she has narrowed her scope to children’s law and litigation.

Marie is a paralegal supporting the Litigation Team. Marie uses her formal medical training as a nurse to assess the injuries of parties based upon their medical records and histories. She assists in trial preparation, discovery and pleadings.
